This is a historic competition of the OSM community. It was created by the brave Kevin Cristian one of the co-founders of Sevo (formerly Cevo).
Initially, the competition was conceived in 2016 with 8 crews from the Hispanic and PT-BR communities. In the following year, the competition managed to establish itself internationally, with 32 crews in an elimination format, open to the entire OSM community. The subsequent editions were also highly successful, and the tournament format expanded to 64 crews.
In 2020, the fifth edition of the tournament took place, with the highest peak of registrations in the competition. The number of participants reached 78! However, in mid-August of that year, the Game Basics servers blocked users who played leagues in the old battle model, making it completely impossible to hold the final of the 5th edition of the Star Cup and future editions as well. However, in the second semester of 2022, the game created the Friendly Battle League. This league model is very different from the old battle model, but considering everything that has happened since 2020, this is the best model to adapt to the Star Cup.
So parallel to the playoffs of the Star Cup 6th edition took place at the end of Star cup 5th edition, In the style of the old battles, for example: creation time determined through a dialogue between the two captains, confirmed penalties between the two captains, final results confirmed by the two captains, and the number of CTS following the old model (4 CTS per player). A tournament in the Friendly Battle League with nostalgic touches from the classic battles. In this clash between Revenge (winner of the semifinal against the Nação Brasil group in 2020, with records on the website) and Tugas (winner of the semifinal against the EMT Italians Academy group in 2020, without records on the website), the Revenge crew emerged victorious and became the champions of the 5th edition. As said in the previous post, it has been 2 long years waiting for the realization of this final. After a few months handling the calendar we managed to find a comfortable date for the realization of this final.
In the confrontation the Revenge crew had many merits and won the title with a good advantage in the score. I present below the Champions journey until the final (You can check the trajectory of other crews in Star cup 5th Edition).
